About Andes Alpaca

Andes Alpaca is a company that delivers high-quality products while communicating cultural, social and ecological values. All our products are made from the wool of alpacas, bred in their natural habitat without using any chemicals. In addition, the products are hand-woven with old looms and the help of ancient techniques striving to survive in today's society.
When the conquest of America began, the original tribes of the Andes had to leave their traditions behind. A long time has passed from that moment until now. Now, the tribes struggle to maintain their culture while adapting to a new world. As a result, many people from these communities have chosen to put their traditions aside for a stable income. With our products, we want to help them achieve a steady income, while at the same time, the tribes can preserve their culture and roots and the old traditions for the future.
Fortunately, now they have an opportunity to continue their traditions as today's society tries to return to its roots and live in harmony with nature. That is because tribes have made everything naturally for hundreds of years, from caring for their animals in their native habitat to making their handcrafted products using their ancient techniques and looms. They have a lot to offer. For all these reasons, this project aims to help a large number of tribes to connect and exchange their products, from northern Venezuela to southern Chile. This is to help all people in the Andes have a stable growing community where they can communicate and develop while keeping their roots intact.

Andes Alpaca attaches great importance to sustainable, ecological and fair clothing. To protect the environment. Our responsibility does not start with the end customer but with the producer and seller. For this reason, we work with renewable raw materials. We focus on timeless designs, high quality and, of course, sustainable collections. Organic is a standard for Andes Alpaca. As mentioned Before, we wonder who makes our clothes and if child labour is involved. We can reassure you that Andes Alpaca never intends to work with children, let alone support forced labour. It is against our philosophy. The remarkable thing about Andes Alpaca is that you can see the artisan that made your product.
We strive not only to receive fair pay for the artisans, but also to recognise their efforts in producing these beautiful alpaca garments. For this reason, it is a fundamental tenet of the Andes Alpaca philosophy that it is not fair fashion if the artisans are not given the credit they deserve. That's why you can find here all the weavers who work with us, including their organic garments made for Andes Alpaca.
